This poster series was an exploration into how we could express the meaning and feeling of a song in three different ways, using only 1 image, using shapes, and using text. The artist and song I had in mind was Nobody by Mitski.

The challenge here was the limitation on the way the feeling of longing in 'Nobody' could be expressed. The image to me seemed the easiest one to do so for the solutions portion, I will focus on the shapes and text.
Shapes
For this one, I drew inspiration from the lyrics
"Venus, planet of love
Was destroyed by global warming."
While not directly related to the feeling of longing, I wanted to represent Venus as the triangle and Earth as the circle and the pale pink where it meets the Earth is the destruction of global warming.
Text
For this one, I wanted to use repitition that's common within the song. Since the song ends with Mitski saying 'nobody' over and over as the volume and tempo slowly diminishes, I placed her name inbetween the chorus to illustrate the loneliness that amongst strangers that the song expresses.
