This piece serves as a reminder to be critical about the media we consume. The phrase is a quote from a song called "Sex Yeah" by MARINA; the original meaning espoused the importance of sexual liberation. My goal was to reintegrate it into 2022's political climate.
I chose to display the figures on CRTV's as an homage to 90's electronics stores where TV's were stacked on top of one
another playing the same channel as a form of advertisement.

The challenge involved finding seemingly innocent figures in media whose actions actually contradict their public image. The visual part of the challenge involved finding out how to represent these figures in context to the phrase.
The goal is to use this "throwback" as an engaging way to make people question the figures in TV; to disarm the viewer whether young or old, the CRTV will represent a vintage quality or a nostalgic quality that would hopefully incite positive feelings, and consequently end with the hopefully not so ambiguous question of "Why should I be skeptical about (x)?"
